Whether you are looking for Dhorpatan Jeep Rental or Toyota Land Cruiser hire on a budget, or you want to rent a luxury car for a special event, Kathmandu Car Services will have the rental jeep for you.

Dhorpatan is the only hunting reserve in Nepal. Established in 1987 it covers an area of 1,325 km2 (512 sq mi) in the Dhaulagiri Himal of western Nepal in the Eastern Rukum, Myagdi and Baglung Districts.

Dhorpatan was once rather challenging to get to and required a helicopter ride and a long trek in. This isn’t the case any longer, with the extension of Nepal’s road network, yet it is still under-explored. In fact, only around 100 foreigners visit each year.

This means that the ethnic Magar inhabitants of Dhorpatan are very curious about foreigners, and are welcoming. While camping and tea house accommodation is the staple while trekking here, small groups may also get to stay with local families in some areas.

The best time to visit Dhorpatan valley is during Spring and Autumn. The highest elevation of the point is 4493m at Phagune Phedi.

Private Jeep hire is available from Kathmandu to Burtibamg via Baglung Bazaar which takes 18 hours (315KM) drive. Similarly, visitors can reach by foot from Beni, Myagdi to Dhorpatan within 3 days normal walk. Helicopter transfers service may be available on request from Kathmandu and Pokhara.

The helicopter flight cost from Kathmandu to Dhorpatan depends on the private or group joining flight. It costs USD 950 per person if you take the group package. In a group, there will be a maximum of five people.

Likewise, if you take a charter flight both way, it will cost USD 4500. So, based on your budget, you can choose between group joining or private helicopter service.
